I.T is an incredibly useful tool when it comes to almost any type of work. It is a means ti change and update data without re-righting hundreds of pages. You can easily keep tabs on things and most important of all it’s quick and easy to use. Without computers it is almost impossible to do photo editing, unless you use scissors and glue. For this project I needed to have a basic knowledge of photo editing, photo editing software, a computer to go it on and a bit of creativity. Before I began the album cover design I did a mind map using a program called mind node to plan out all the necessary courses of action, such as discussing the design with the band leader or checking the availability of band names. I use macs because after having owned and used both windows and mac I find mac to be far superior to windows or any other system which I have dabbled in. For this reason I didn't use adobe photoshop, I used pixelmator which has all the same functions but runs flawlessly with mac and has the same U.I . 1.6 missing 2. 2.1 missing 2.2 missing 2.3 missing 3. It has been a few days since I completed the album cover and looking back at it now im happy with it. All my systems worked flawlessly throughout the making of the cover. It was very fast and I completed it in one sitting of a few hours. I think the sun and the back ground came out quite nicely and there is a lens flare by the sun which I did myself. The oil pumps and factory don’t quite look like they fit in on the surface of the planet but I figured it would look okay when it was printed.
